I read the Thursday letter to the editor from Diane Shaul, in which she stated that Sen. John McCain’s prisoner-of-war status does not qualify him to be president.
Au contraire. Five years as a prisoner of war, and then coming out to serve this nation in the Senate in an outstanding fashion for 20 years, to me indicates a strong personality — one that will serve him well in the stress-filled duties of the presidency.
Indeed, Ms. Shaul’s brother-in-law, who was a POW, might make a better president than the current Democratic front-runner!
