The casinos are losing business. There are many good reasons for this, but they are losing a lot of local business becase of high food prices and very poor slot payout.
Over the past 10 years here in the Las Vegas Valley, I have seen the payouts steadily get worse. One can put in $100 in nickels, and one is lucky if one gets a single four of a kind payout, let alone a royal flush. Is this fun? I don’t think so.
If the casinos want to attract local business, they need to make it fun again and increase slot payout and lower food prices.
