LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

Why aren’t Bush’s lies being investigated?

Let me see if I understand this: This country spent millions trying to impeach President Clinton because of his and Hillary’s involvement in the infamous Whitewater scandal. Then Kenneth Starr releases his Starr Report, which barely mentions Whitewater, and we spend months trying to find out whether Clinton did or did not have “sexual relations with that woman” — which, by the way, was no one’s business but his and Hillary’s.

Now we have a president whose own, albeit former, press secretary has said that the president lied to get us into a war and lied about leaking CIA information to the press. Where is the outrage? Where is the investigative committee?

President Bush has apparently lied to this entire nation, costing us a fortune. And not just in money, but also in loss of life and loss of credibility around the world. Where is Kenneth Starr now? If Bill Clinton’s bad investments and infidelities were worthy of an investigation, then what is allegedly getting us into a war under false pretenses worth?
