I have seen more auto accidents in my three years in Las Vegas than my entire life before.
Also, before living here, I had never heard of pedestrians or cyclists killed in parking lots by reckless drivers.
There’s no weather here to speak of, and the roads are new, wide and straight.
What’s the problem?
I think it boils down to selfishness and bad behavior. To me, a speeding driver in an SUV, talking on a cell phone, scares me as much as a street gangster waving a gun around.
Isn’t it time we said enough is enough?
Isn’t it time that law enforcement step up and start putting these road terrorists behind bars?
Isn’t it time our lawmakers begin enacting tougher laws and imposing tougher penalties?
Isn’t it time the media start shedding light on this issue that affects everyone in our valley?
Haven’t enough died already?
