Our government leaders, in the executive and legislative branches, are weak and ineffectual. I wonder how long the escalation of gasoline prices will go on before it brings America to its knees?
At some point, we will not be able to buy both food and gasoline and we are a nation built on wheels.
I would bet that we have enough oil reserves all over the country, including the ocean shelves, to cause OPEC to reconsider dropping the price of oil. I wish we would drill for our own oil just to bankrupt them.
It is my opinion they are colluding merely to force us out of the Middle East. We are not seen as liberators anymore, but as unwanted occupiers in an Islamic world that hates us (that includes our so-called friend Saudi Arabia).
I don’t want any more young men killed to rebuild a country full of sand and oil, which, as I say, hates us. Those Islamic countries do not want democracy. They know you can’t govern an educated people (that includes America).
The Arab countries of OPEC will bring nothing but inflation, stagflation, recession and, once again, the “Great Depression” to America.
