Anyone remember when the first VCRs came on the market? I bought one then for $1,000 and two years later bought one for $100. Anyone remember when the first cell phones came on the market for $1,000? Today I can get one free. Anyone remember when the first plasma TV came on the market for $5,000? Just a few years later I bought a very nice one for less than $1,000.
Anyone remember how much you once paid to fill up your gas tank? Well, let’s drill now and pay less.
Let’s put our own oil into the marketplace and we will once again be paying $2 a gallon.
In the meantime, I do believe we have to look into alternatives. Thoroughly developing them, though, will take much longer than thoroughly developing a resource we already have in abundance.
