Some important questions for Nevada that will be answered at the St. Paul convention: How does National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman John Ensign, talking to a crowd that will eat only red meat, manage to keep the name of Harry Reid out of his remarks? What kind of role will the GOP governor of a red state, Jim Gibbons, play inside the convention hall and outside on the party circuit? Which Rep. Dean Heller will we see — the one who was a maverick in Carson City or the true believer who has discovered his conservative roots just in time? And, of course, what role has been reserved for John McCain’s friend of 15 years, Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki, during the festivities? I can’t wait to find out.
