FLASHPOINT:

More money coming to the Democrats

It will be hard to match last year’s Jefferson Jackson dinner, which occurred a couple of months before the wildly successful Nevada caucus. But state Democrats, already flush with registration numbers, are hoping to fill up the party coffers even more Saturday. Unlike in 2007, when the presidential contenders came after that CNN debate here, the marquee guest is Robert Kennedy Jr., which will draw the faithful and maybe some newbies. Now Kennedy isn’t Hillary or Barack, or even Joe or Bill, but the last name will draw a crowd. I doubt the crowd will match the couple of thousand who showed up in 2007. But with Democratic fortunes in the state looking good, I bet the event will entice a lot of people with cash.
