I just finished watching the History Channel’s program about Sept. 11, “102 Minutes That Changed America.”
If I could I would throw President Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice and George Tenet in prison and throw away the keys. The bitter taste of outrage is too strong.
They committed unforgivable crimes against us by ignoring the clear warning of the attacks and then going after Saddam Hussein who, they knew, had nothing to do with those attacks. We deserved better.
Seven years later, we’ve lost thousands of lives, wasted billions, and still no capture of those responsible for the attacks. In fact, the total incompetence of this administration is so staggering one has to wonder if we will ever recover.
John McCain, who has voted with President Bush 90 percent of the time, thinks we should stay in Iraq; and, if asked, he would probably say President Bush has done a fine job. Know what boggles my mind? Roughly 47 percent of the people agree with John McCain. God help us.
