Republican ticket taking the low road

Enough! The McCain-Palin campaign is doing a great job of deflecting attention from its weak policies on issues by crying foul over an innocent comment by Barack Obama. I don’t remember this outcry from the McCain-Palin camp recently when Republican Rep. Lynn Westmoreland called the Obamas “uppity.”

Where was the outrage? I thought the McCain-Palin campaign was going to take the high road. I guess the McCain-Palin mavericks are still running with the herd.

Why is the McCain-Palin ticket trashing Obama for being a community organizer — an individual who helps people in his community get back on their feet to become productive citizens again?

Is it because most of the people Obama helped were poor whites and minorities? What code words from the McCain-Palin camp should we infer from this trashing? Is it because they are embarrassed about their own “community organizers”? Their organizers are called lobbyists.

They lobby for the rich and corporations that want to squeeze every dime and regulation out of the federal government and the working people of this country to line their own pockets.

So let’s put the kindergarten baloney to rest and be adult enough to have an open and honest discussion about the policies and ideas of both presidential candidates.
