In this political climate, it is a daunting task to discern truth from the fiction being thrown at us. We usually give a wink and a nod when the candidates spin a small white lie our way.
But when a couple of whoppers show up, it’s time for closer examination.
John McCain has asserted that Barack Obama will raise taxes for all Americans — not true.
Sarah Palin initially asserted that she opposed the Bridge to Nowhere from its inception — not true.
Suppose we have a McCain-Palin administration for the next four years. It will be interesting to see how the American public will handle a daily dose of untruths by the president and vice president.
