Today the McCain campaign plans to go door-to-door in Las Vegas as part of a “coordinated statewide effort.” The media are invited to tag along and I recommend the walkabout to my Fourth Estate colleagues. (I have a volleyball game to attend or I would be there, really!) It ought to be fascinating to see the reception they get in a county with 100,000 more Democrats than Republicans. I hope they choose their doors wisely and perhaps not repeat all of the things the GOP nominee said this week about the economy. Hard to keep straight, weren’t they? Perhaps, as Sig Rogich suggested this week, they ought to stick to taxes — as in the higher ones they say Barack Obama will raise. Hey, it’s worked for Jim Gibbons.
