You can go home again — or so Reno Mayor Bob Cashell is proving this year in the U.S. Senate race. Here is the progression of the veteran pol in the contest: He hosted a fundraiser for Harry Reid. He was put on a Republicans for Reid list after that event, but complained after pressure from GOP friends. Then, he endorsed Sue Lowden, despite having done the event for Reid. When Lowden began to tank, Cashell dubbed her “Suicidal Sue,” but then said all was well, even though he did not show up for a photo-op with Lowden at a local watering hole. Now, after Sharron Angle won, he declared to KRNV: “I’ll go door to door for Harry Reid.” If so, I hope he remembers who he supports.
