flash point:

Keystone councilmen

What kind of government body has a member who votes against a proposition on a Tuesday and then 24 hours later makes the motion to approve it? What kind of government body has a member who abstains on the approval of the minutes from the last meeting because he was absent and then declines to read the minutes? Answer: The Las Vegas City Council. Ricki Barlow voted Tuesday during a preliminary panel against the labor peace ordinance for the Culinary, then turned around and not only voted for it at the council meeting but made the motion. Steve Ross was the councilman who missed the last meeting and apparently didn’t have time to read the minutes. My goodness. How impressive our city leaders are.
