Is this the day of a game-changer in the GOP gubernatorial primary? If you believe Gov. Jim Gibbons’ news release, it could be. This filled inboxes Friday: “On Monday May 10, 2010, Gov. Jim Gibbons will hold a news conference to release details of a bold new plan for transparency and accountability for public funds.” How exciting! What could it be? A website? Public floggings if bureaucrats misspend? Forcing the public to attend all legislative hearings by teleconference? Oh, the mind boggles.
