LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

Regarding big spending, just say no

There is a constant flow of letters complaining that the “Party of No” is holding back President Barack Obama’s agenda. This past week we got the news that the debt for April was $83 billion. That’s four times what it was last year.

We also got the news that the Congressional Budget Office estimate of the health care “reform” bill was “off” by $115 billion. That means the total 10-year tab of this monstrosity is now over a trillion dollars. Will that cause the “Party of Yes” to stop spending money like there is an unlimited supply? Heck no, they want to spend more — especially before the midterm elections, when the country will boot out these irresponsible louts.

My question is this: Are you people who champion this nonsensical running of the government actually aware of the damage that is being done to this country? I have seven nieces and nephews who are going to pay big time because a large portion of you think there is an unending supply of money to pay for every government-sponsored free ride under the sun.

These programs, by and large, are designed to get as many voters under the “Party of Yes” tent by using our tax dollars, and those of you who don’t get it are either on the dole or refuse to get your head out of the sand.

I don’t care who it is, but purely for the survival of this union, please say “No”.
