People say governments don’t innovate, that they have no imagination. But in the middle of a recession, the Las Vegas City Council has invented a cure for insomnia! It’s a miracle. Just read: “KCLV Channel 2, the city of Las Vegas’ government access channel, will broadcast a special program about the city’s budget situation on a continuous loop on Monday, May 17. The show, called ‘Wrestling with the Recession,’ will begin airing at 8 a.m. and run until 10 p.m.” Just joking, city folks. If the goal is to inform the public — without that obnoxious media filter — about the fiscal crisis, more power to them. But will anyone watch?
