Harry Reid, a man in a high place, is seeking help from his friends in high places. Specifically, CQ/Roll Call reports: “Facing a brutal re-election battle, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is taking the unprecedented step of leaning on Democratic leadership to shake the money tree on his behalf before the Memorial Day recess, headlining a breakfast fundraiser alongside 15 of his committee chairmen.” That breakfast is today, and my guess is folks you appointed as chairmen will do all they can to make rain for you for your troubled re-election bid. It’s good to be the leader — at least when it comes to fundraising.
