News that Rand Paul abruptly canceled his interview with “Meet the Press” after absorbing some media hits reminds me of how difficult it can be when politicians quaver. We at “Face to Face” have had to contend with two such jellyfish in one of the state’s most important races: governor. While long-shot Mike Montandon has been eager to debate Gov. Jim Gibbons and former Judge Brian Sandoval, the latter duo have been petrified to come on. Gibbons, who is probably going to lose, has nothing to lose by coming on but can’t figure that out. And Sandoval, who used to be so accessible, probably figures he has nothing to gain without Gibbons. Sad. Pathetic. Predictable.
