Manendo has been responsive, helpful representative

This letter is concerning the Las Vegas Sun’s article Tuesday on the race for state Senate District 7. Assemblyman Mark Manendo was my legislator at my old home, and he was always responsive to my concerns. I was sorry when I moved to another district, where I have gotten little or no response to problems when I contact my current representatives.

Last year I had a problem with a state regulatory agency I deal with, and although I no longer live in his district, Manendo took time to respond several times and was very helpful to me. The people who are criticizing him for innuendo and unfiled allegations of gender harassment are misinformed.

If someone has a legitimate complaint, why aren’t they mature enough to say so publicly and let him explain? Women who make these kinds of gossipy allegations are not helping anyone, including themselves.

He was my representative for about 10 years and I have nothing but good things to say about him.
