Nonproductive congressmen need to be sent home

As we all have observed in the past few years, Congress has not been doing its job. In my estimation, 80 percent of the members’ time is spent fighting among themselves to force their ideologies on the American people and to cover their behinds by working for the lobbies to secure their re-election; the other 20 percent is for going back and forth to their states at our expense, pretending that they are working for their constituents.

As for legislating in favor of hardworking Americans, who cares? The point is for their personal and party ideologies to reign and to provide for those who “own” them and that’s the only thing that counts.

So, since “we the people” are supposed to be their employer, my question is: If you — any and all of us — were a real world employer, would you retain any of your nonproductive employees on the payroll of your business? I surely would not.

Why are we keeping any of them employed and not firing them? Wouldn’t it be great if we could carry this out through a national referendum?

By the way, does anybody think it would be a good idea to hire the “narcissistic prima donna” Donald Trump to do the firing for us?
