Regarding Frank Bruni’s Saturday column, “Heroes, until they arrive”:
Mr. Bruni superficially and systematically dissects the qualifications of the GOP’s top 2012 presidential contenders.
The comment that Rick Perry is a great candidate on the surface is totally void when compared with the superficial examination given to Obama’s background and qualifications before being elected president. I wonder if Mr. Bruni would take a little time to dissect the qualifications, or lack thereof, of Obama before his presidency.
How many realize that Obama virtually jumped from being a community organizer to spending four years as a U.S. senator before becoming president? Anyone else would have been looked at microscopically with these so-called qualifications.
I strongly recommend a closer look be made, even now, at Obama’s qualifications and background before considering him to be our president for four more years in 2012. Remember the adage: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
