How many people remember when the show rooms on the Strip went dark in the month of December? The rodeo came to town and December became a swinging month. Not only the rodeo but the Miss Rodeo contest, Benny's Stock Sale?
Yeah, hats and boots, and most of all the cowboys and their families. I really enjoyed the manners the majority of them have.
I had season tickets for 19 years, a pretty good go, until I was in a coma and couldn't renew them.
Thank you Michael Gaughan, thank you Benny Binion and thanks to all of the people who helped bring the National Finals Rodeo here and the ones working on trying to keep it here.
