Let’s sell surplus water to California

After reading a story last week from The New York Times about farmers along the Colorado River selling water to cities, I am even more firmly convinced that gravity has no effect; it’s money toward which water flows.

It makes sense for the Southern Nevada Water Authority to divert as much water from other parts of the state so that Nevadans can then share in the profit of the emerging water market in Southern California. That water may be surplus to our needs. And when it is, sell it to the highest bidder!
