Your story on “Lawyers finding new ways to drum up clients” in the Aug. 1 issue of the Sun was quite interesting. Personally, I don’t believe lawyers ought to advertise in the manner generally described in the story. However, I certainly appreciate the value of advertising and the need to inform the public of alternatives available to them. I just wish some of the other ads were not so outlandish, reeking of hucksterism. Lawyers are supposed to be professionals and to exemplify their “profession.”
