letter to the editor:

Walmart workers helpful, courteous

Overall, I agree with Lane Filler’s Dec. 3 column, “Walmart’s formula keeps thousands employed,” except for his derision of Walmart employees’ attitudes.

I have never experienced anything but courtesy from the employees I’ve encountered. On numerous occasions, I’ve had to ask employees where to find items. The employees always respond, and generally don’t only direct the customer to the proper location, but stop what they are doing and lead the customer directly to what he or she is looking for.

Considering the very large amount of foot traffic all Walmart stores experience, I feel the employees go out of their way to be courteous and helpful, and I have the utmost respect for them.
