No good reason to oppose border fence

An old adage says good fences make good neighbors. An article in Sunday’s Sun cites comments from Mexican officials condemning the Senate’s passage of an immigration bill that includes expanded border fencing and surveillance.

Do they wish to have unauthorized entry into the U.S. continue? Would they appreciate a reverse situation?

Given the economic state of the northern Mexican provinces, they need the money sent by their citizens living and working in the U.S., be they here legally or not. As a TV detective once said, “Follow the money.”
