Joe Schoenmann recently wrote about downtown parking, but don’t forget about some of the joys past and present. Forty years ago, the city discounted fines 50 percent if paid in 10 days.
We were happy campers then. Today often we find unexpired time on the new credit-card friendly meters, it is there to enjoy. Some other cities merely print out stubs with expiration times that are put on our dashboard (no change for using someone’s unexpired time there!)
Las Vegas City is parking friendly. And I hope we bring back the early-pay discount.
