Now that October “Breast Cancer Awareness Month” is over, I wonder if anyone thinks about other forms of cancer.
Cancer is cancer, no matter where on your body. Our treatments, pain and fears are no different than with breast cancer. I had oral cancer and am now an 18-month survivor. I have had over half my tongue removed along with my vocal cords and most of my right jaw, so I know about cancer.
Can’t we just have “Cancer Awareness” and celebrate all the survivors and make those still fighting this horrible disease feel like their cancer is worth awareness? Please just drop the breast and focus on cancer.
