Regarding “Fitting one’s wages to one’s needs,” a letter in Monday’s edition, I was waiting for one more line that said, “just joking.”
The theory that you should be paid more for the more kids you have is absurd. What about “personal responsibility?” That is what really galls me when I hear comments like this.
I have no legal authority to tell you how many kids you can have or keep you from being a legal citizen, but I can be forced to subsidize your family’s finances.
