Letter to the editor:

Immigrants aren’t the real problem

I am very concerned about our immigration problems. We always hear about the immigrants being the problem. What about the employers who allow this problem to persist?

The workers are contributing to the system by paying taxes, which are deducted from their paychecks (when they are being paid on the books), and they also pay taxes when they pay their rent and make purchases.

What do the immigrants get when they retire? Nothing!

We have to fix this problem, which has been going on for many years.

Our Senate has already passed a comprehensive immigration reform bill, and the House of Representatives should follow suit and adopt the Senate version.

I have had enough of “Just say no!”
