Nevada boasts the dubious distinction of ranking last in education.
If, in a high-tech global economy, where only the well-educated stand a chance at being competitive, Nevadans don’t mind condemning their kids to low-prestige, low-paying jobs in the service industry, then I suppose there’s nothing wrong with not investing in schools and libraries.
