Getting past GOP obstruction

So Republicans thought they could keep the Obama administration from accomplishing anything by just saying no to everything. President Barack Obama, by using his constitutional authority, is trying to make advances in getting some bills moving toward some positive results. The Republicans say they’re going to sue to stop Obama from saying, “Screw you.” Can you believe the outrage from Republicans to learn they can’t stop Obama from any success, as is their goal?

This Congress is on track to set a new record for accomplishing the least any Congress in history has done. John Boehner is on track to beat the useless record he set last Congress. Who says Boehner is not up to the challenge? I should mention Boehner’s accomplice in the Senate, Mitch McConnell, doing his part to set the useless record. I’d call them a comedy team, but this is serious and not funny at all. The Senate in the past four years has set records for clotures and filibusters.

Corporate profits are soaring without the working class sharing in the success. Working-class wages are stagnant over the past 30-plus years. Income inequality is getting worse every year. Discrimination is rearing its ugly head again for minorities, women, gays, the elderly, immigrants and the poor. Obama wants to move the economy and the middle class forward while the Republicans and their Supreme Court want to keep the wealthy and corporations front and center as their only goal.
