I was so pleased to see the letter “Reckless bicyclists a danger on trail” on June 1.
I, too, am a longtime walker on the Pittman Wash Trail, and I am appalled at the speed of the cyclists.
As an Oregon transplant, I feel qualified in listing proper etiquette for bicyclists. If you a have a horn or bell, use it. If not, announce yourself, as in, “On your left/right.” It will be much appreciated.
