letter to the editor:

E-cigarettes are full of chemicals

Thank goodness! That is all I have to say to the regulation of e-cigarettes. They have become one the most annoying things I have ever been around.

Every time someone smokes one of them around me, there are a million things I want to say to them.

It is not just “vapors.” The liquid that makes up that vapor includes chemicals that have not been tested and ingredients that do not have to be disclosed yet. The liquid also contains nicotine, which is addictive, but it was not until recently that the Food and Drug Administration said e-cigarettes have to be labeled as an addictive product.

I am so elated to see that the FDA, Clark County School District and many others are regulating e-cigarettes.

It becomes quite frustrating having someone at a table next to you using one.

Not to be rude to all of the individuals who are on the e-cigs bandwagon, but e-cigs can make a place uncomfortable for people who do not smoke them and for those who prefer not to be around them.

Three years after the FDA said it would regulate e-cigs, it is finally starting to act. I hope enforcement happens sooner rather than later.
