The Dec. 16 letter “Gun regulations proven to work” cited Tokyo’s low incidence of gun-related homicides every year in a city of 32 million where guns are severely controlled, offering this evidence for a similar system in this country.
Well, what works in Japan might not work here. For example, Chicago, which also has a very large population and some of our nation’s strictest gun control laws, has some of the highest gun-related incidences in this country.Go figure.
