This is a note to supporters of President Donald Trump, like the writer of the June 11 letter “Trump knows best:” You need to back up your claims with examples. You say Trump represents American values. What values are you referring to? Racism? Misogyny? Xenophobia? Or perhaps it is forcibly separating children from their parents and putting them in camps. Those aren’t my values and I’m an American too.
Regarding Trump’s dealmaking, he is making the U.S. less great with every deal. He’s alienated our allies, cozied up to our enemies and undone our environmental protections, just to name a few.
Trump is making decisions that will weaken America’s standing and make the world uninhabitable in the future.
