I read Brian Greenspun’s statement on President Donald Trump in the Nov. 18 edition of the Sun.
Over the years, I have not understood the position of the anti-Trump feelings in the Sun. I agree with most of the statement but in every time of our history, whether it be war or a bad economy, we have always needed a leader who would address our issues and not put them on a shelf.
Trump is the man who came along, when all of us citizens — OK, half of us — were tired of politics as usual. Immigration, trade agreements and employment needed fixing. Just the feeling that we have a patriot at the helm, and one who generally feels the need to put America first, is uplifting.
We need a leader who understands we are a nation with English as our language and a respect for laws, and that is why many come here.
With every leader of our nation who was great, there were always things that many did not agree with, but the most important part of a leader is that they get the job done, and in my opinion, Trump is doing that.
