President Donald Trump gave himself an A-plus grade for his handling of the aftermath of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico.
Never mind that the islanders were without electricity for nearly eight months. Never mind that they had to drink rain water for nearly six months even though there were 20,000 pallets of drinking water sitting on a runway — and by the time an attempt was made to distribute that water, it was contaminated. Never mind that research by Georgetown University discovered a death count around 2,975 although Trump still puts the death toll closer to 50 — he claims the 2,975 total was put out by Democrats to make him look bad. One could go on but these examples are enough to show that his grade should be closer to a D than an A-plus.
Remember his words at a speech in Kansas City, Mo.: “What you see and what you read is not happening.” Those words reflect his state of reality.
