The Las Vegas Sun’s May 30 front-page headline contained a true and correct headline with no spin — “Mueller declines to clear Trump,” reiterating the clear and unambiguous language of the Mueller report that “no exoneration” of Trump on obstruction of justice charges means Congress can pursue such charges through impeachment proceedings.
The late Helen Thomas, an American journalist best known for her longtime membership in the White House press corps, stated it best: “It is the job of a journalist to seek the truth and put constant pressure on our leaders until we get answers.”Truth, not dishonest spin, like claiming that “no exoneration” is ambiguous and therefore constitutes a controversy.
