Next November, after the Democrats lose the presidential race, if they have tucked away the Nov. 11 Nicholas Kristof column “Don’t be numbed to what’s unacceptable,” they will have a clue why.
Kristof details many alleged offenses committed by the president. His outrage reminds me of Hillary Clinton’s supporters after the last election. They could not fathom how anyone could perceive the world in such a different way from them.
Democrats will again learn that half the voting populace does see things differently. If Democrats were half as smart as they think they are, they would climb off their high horses and try to find a candidate with views that reflect the mainstream voters, or the deplorables, as Clinton called them.
Maybe they could actually try to court them.
