We all know President Donald Trump is a narcissist, a philanderer, a sexual predator, a liar and a racist. But so what? All of this was known prior to his 2016 election, and yet he was elected president anyway. These are not issues for impeachment.
What we know now but didn’t know then is that this president has no qualms breaking any law in pursuit of his desires while in office or in pursuit of a second term. It would take me several typewritten pages to list all of the laws broken by Trump since he has taken office. Most recently, his lawyers argued that the president cannot only not be indicted while in office, he cannot even be investigated. That comes pretty darn close to my definition of “dictator.”
It really comes down to this: You can close your eyes to all the laws broken by Trump. You can accept the argument that he cannot even be investigated, or you get behind the attempt to hold him accountable.
