I am the founder of Veterans Village Las Vegas. We house over 500 people a night. We take an innovative approach to holistic and comprehensive housing, with 24/7/365 crisis intervention intensive support services.
Public and private collaborative partnerships have helped provide supplies and services to residents, including housing; medical, mental health and dental health; employment training; referrals and placements; food pantry/nutrition programs; and transportation to the VA Hospital and VA primary care clinics.
I consider Sen. Jacky Rosen, D-Nev., and her staff to be strategic partners with Veterans Village Las Vegas in that we have an open “pipeline” of communication regarding the needs that we provide for our heroes.
We are in the development phase of an additional 480 apartments in downtown Las Vegas, and I can assure you that accessibility is a top priority.
It is reassuring to know that Rosen and her staff are always there for us. She is a true champion for our veterans.
