Letter writers and pundits are ganging up on President Joe Biden. They seem to think he has dictatorial powers to immediately control what people in his political party do or don’t do.
Is it better for your needs if a party proceeds in lock step behind someone who has a personal agenda which benefits himself (think “stop the steal”) or if items that will affect all of us are debated vigorously and eventually reach a consensus before imposing the government’s will?
Biden is supporting the less timely idea of debate and consensus. Everyone will soon see the benefits of the recent infrastructure bill. Though pared down, it is the most far-reaching bill to pass in many years and will benefit most, including the supporters of those who voted against it. This is democracy in action. Give it a chance.
