Denmark has less than 6 million people, with a land area equivalent to Massachusetts. Denmark’s politics, quite different from ours, combine socialist with capitalist policies and very high tax rates.
Its small size allows its government to operate quite differently from our 50 states plus our 14 territories comprising over 330 million people.
I found the New York Times story published Oct. 11 in the Sun, “US is an outlier in how nations pay for child care,” to be interesting but not politically viable for a democratic republic such as ours.
