I read with great interest theSun letter on Aug. 23, “Declassifying has consequences.”
The letter was written by a self-described “retired intelligence officer.”
The author states that former President Donald Trump had hidden away “a bunch of highly classified documents, some above the top-secret level.” Some describe “our most advanced technical systems.” And he states, “These classified documents should remain classified” or it “will endanger national security.”
From his keen insight into the exact contents of these documents, I can only assume that the author must have some direct knowledge of them.
As a “retired” intelligence official it is easy to surmise that he no longer has any legal access to classified documents. Therefore, I would expect he will be contacted by the FBI shortly so that they can ascertain just exactly how he gained access to these classified documents.
