Dogs are not always welcome

Why has it become the norm to see dogs just about everywhere? We have experienced dogs in shopping carts in local grocery stores, dogs inside restaurants, on casino floors, in retail stores and more.

Many establishments won’t ask questions regarding service dogs because they are afraid of a lawsuit. Many also do not bother to sanitize shopping carts and furniture after a dog uses them.

Many people have faux service dog harnesses while others just pretend their animal is a service dog. This does a disservice to those who serve a true medical purpose. They are not fur babies; they do not have more rights than people. Keep your dog on a leash and out of food and retail establishments.
