The American people are being treated as children in a proposed national divorce. Like a custody battle, our leaders relegate our honor as citizens to the annals of history and leave us to alternate between the intemperate states.
We must rally around a common cause. The Select Committee on the Strategic Competition Between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party presents a prime opportunity to place American pride at the pinnacle of our national life and leave political polarization in the past.
Every other issue we face can be solved by compromise, but like most divorce scenarios, the colossal catalyst of a proposed break-up must be dealt with in its entirety.
Our addiction to slave labor and poisoning by fentanyl must be met with immediate economic sobriety through decoupling. The confusion about the origins of COVID-19 must be met with the truth. The adultery of our corporations with communist China must be exposed and their loyalties must return to America.
From the most intense social issues to the mundane nuances of tax policy, we can come to the negotiating table. However, our quality of life must be decided now.
A national divorce would be the most profound gift to Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin. The select committee presents a chance to find purpose through our shared pain and embrace patriotism by committing ourselves to national reconciliation.
