I remember South Africa attempting to “sportswash” its behavior toward its Black population. The world rejected the country’s participation in sporting events until it did away with its official discriminatory behavior.
When I see LIV golfers greedily take money from one of the worst governments in the world, it breaks my heart that no one but Rory McIlroy is saying out loud that it’s wrong.
When I see LIV golfers take Saudi Arabian money, I see the hijacked planes flying into the twin towers, I see a journalist having his head cut off in an embassy — the money comes from the same oil field.
All golfers should reject this the Saudi government’s attempt to normalize hatred of freedom, laws and America. We have got to stop loading the bullets in the guns pointed at our heads.
