Letter to the Editor:

Mormon's make good neighbors

As a former member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I can vouch for the good behavior of the church members who will flock to the proposed Lone Mountain temple. They’re good people — hard-working, reverent — and they will attract new homeowners and lots of children to the area.

So, if you don’t mind lots of asphalt, streetlights (to protect the children), fast-food joints popping up everywhere, strip malls, increased traffic and traffic noise, and all the trappings of suburbia, you’ll love having a Mormon temple nearby.

And you can forget about liquor stores and massage parlors: They’ll avoid the area like the plague.
